Our stories / Olive oil
Our extra virgin olive oil reflects its origin — the climate, the soil and the season. Balanced fruitiness, a gentle bitterness and a clean peppery finish define its character. It's bottled in small batches to preserve freshness and integrity.
Every bottle of Leut oil tells the story of the place it comes from. The climate, the soil and the timing of the harvest leave their mark on every drop – which is why our oil is more than an ingredient: it is a reflection of a landscape and of a family that cares for it year after year.
From Pakoštane, from our family estate
Our olive groves lie in and around Pakoštane, in the heart of Dalmatia, on a narrow strip of land between the sea and Lake Vrana. Stony soil, plenty of sunshine, sea air and the bora wind that sweeps through the landscape in winter create a microclimate in which the olive develops rich aroma and resilience.
Leut is a family farm. We tend the trees ourselves and know every grove and every season – from pruning to harvest. We combine knowledge passed down through generations in Dalmatia with modern processing technology, because we believe tradition and precision go hand in hand.
Character in the glass
Our extra virgin olive oil is of medium intensity. It is defined by balanced fruitiness, a gentle bitterness and a clean, peppery finish that lightly warms the throat – the sign of a fresh oil rich in polyphenols.
On the nose and palate you'll find notes of arugula, tomato leaf and artichoke, along with the freshness of green apple and green almond. The oil is organic and made from a blend of varieties, so every harvest carries its own small, recognisable signature.
Small batches, full control
We produce our oil in limited quantities and bottle it in small batches. This is how we preserve what matters most – freshness, aroma and the integrity of the oil – from the grove to your table. Every step, from picking to bottling, passes through our hands.
Recognition from New York
Our efforts have paid off on the world stage too. Leut won a gold medal at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition in New York – the largest and most prestigious olive oil competition in the world – two years in a row, in 2025 and 2026. Read more in the story Gold from New York.
At the table

It's best enjoyed simply: on a slice of bread, over fresh cheese or a salad. It pairs beautifully with beef carpaccio, roast potatoes, and chicken and vegetables from the wok. And if you're feeling adventurous, try a few drops over a scoop of chocolate ice cream – the peppery finish and chocolate make a surprisingly good match.
