Our consistency in quality: Gold in New York for the second year running (NYIOOC)
Our commitment to crafting top-tier extra virgin olive oil has once again been recognized on the world's biggest stage. The expert jury of the prestigious NYIOOC (New York International Olive Oil Competition) has named Leut oil among the world's best oils — for the second year running.
What is the NYIOOC?
The NYIOOC is the largest and most prestigious olive oil competition in the world. Every year, oils from producers all over the globe arrive in New York to be judged by an international panel of experienced tasters – blind, with no information about the producer or origin. Only oils the panel recognises as exceptional receive a gold medal.
Award-winning oils are included in the Official Guide to the World's Best Olive Oils, a guide used by buyers, retailers and olive oil lovers around the world.
Gold for the second year running
After gold in 2025, the 2026 gold medal confirms that our team's outstanding results and early harvest are no coincidence, but the result of expertise and consistency at every step of production.
One medal can be the result of a good year. Two in a row say something else – they speak of consistency. Of the same approach, from the olive grove to the mill, repeated harvest after harvest.
How we were rated
The panel rated Leut as an organic oil of medium intensity, with notes of arugula, tomato leaf, artichoke, green apple and green almond. Read more about our oil's character in the story Olive oil.
An honour and a responsibility
Being featured in the Official Guide to the World's Best Olive Oils is a great honor for us, but also a responsibility. Every bottle of Leut oil we produce carries this proof of consistency and quality, something we're immensely proud of.
Thank you to everyone who supports our vision. For details on our brand profile and panel scores, please visit the guide's official website.
